DCMA DASHBOARD

Try out Our New DCMA Interactive Dashboard

This model is the most advanced level of integration between the two software. The model contains 50+ reports and dashboards from high level of information to detailed drilled down insights. The model is determinist in its nature and only converts primavera data into information, this model does not create or generate project data, rather it takes data from its source which is primavera and convert project data into meaningful insights, KPIs and several important metrics which are time taking generally and people tend to ignore them.

It is important to understand the benefits of having such a robust system where you can easily convert project program and portfolio data into information within few minutes and without any manual working or modification. This user-friendly environment of Primavera P6 and Power Bi integration do not restrict users to only few visuals, it allows users to develop unlimited variety of visuals and analysis. The visuals we have set in the model are generic in nature, users can modify them as per requirement, the demonstration for modification is also shown in the video guide of this model.

In this guide book the analysis shown in pictures and the relative description is based on author’s project data, once the user will pull their data from p6 into this model, every single visual will depict different values. Users can validate the information in Primavera P6, the method of validating your project data is demonstrated in the videos, because it is more understandable to know the procedure of data validation by watching the videos.

This model can be used by any person who have access to primavera P6, this model does not restrict you to have hardcore P6 knowledge, but it is recommended if you have good experience of P6. The model is compatible with any project industry, and it connects any project data within few seconds as far as the schedule is made in P6. The method we use for integration is the simplest and easiest method for P6 or non P6 users, the only part and the most important part is to carefully update your progress in P6 regularly, once it is done then user will follow our method to pull the data from p6 and then press refresh button in Power BI to convert all your P6 data into dashboards and reports.

The feature of the model given below,

  • DCMA-14 points check at project program and portfolio level
  • DCMA-14 trend analysis from Baseline till last update
  • DCMA-14 change analysis between current and previous update, there is no limit of number of updates to pull from P6.
  • Earned value analysis cost and manhours based (for earned value-based performance user must load cost and hours or at least one of them in P6)
  • Task tracking reports and dashboard

Why Choose This Model

This model gives users freedom of converting as much data as they have in their schedules, into meaningful insights with minimum to zero effort. In our rough estimate the dashboard and reports created by this model are 90 to 95% quicker, because this model is compatible with every P6 schedule, and it connect automatically with P6 data. User can also develop more reports from the metrices available in the model. One of the biggest advantages of this model is that it contains your portfolio data as well as project data with all its previous updates and baselines in one place.

As project data analyst this is the hardest part to do, to keep all current and previously generated data readily available at one place. With this model your data will be organized at one place with ease of having variety of visuals and trends.  This model enables user to drag and drop metrices in different kind of visuals and create useful KPIs by themselves.

This model can be opened multiple times in one PC at a same time, meaning you can use this model for different projects and make copy of this model for each different projects, the method is demonstrated in video guide.

The model will change your perception of looking at project data, it will help increase analytical approach towards data. User will be spending more time in analyzing the trends and visuals rather creating them, this model eliminates 90 to 95% effort of cleaning and structuring of P6 data. When user pull data from P6 and drop in Power BI, it automatically performs data cleaning and data structuring in backend.
